Anxiety causes significant discomfort by making you feel worried or nervousness about many issues. Anxiety last all day and it is difficult to experience any relief. When worry or nervousness impacts school, work and your daily activities, you may need to seek professional help. The discomfort can prevent you from engaging in daily life activities and enjoying what life has to offer.
Substance use or misuse such as alcohol can be used as an escape from life and work challenges. Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness or feeling down. Some of the most common depression symptoms include, but not limited to, feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts. Depression impacts your daily activities, such as school attendance or grades, completing job tasks, relationships and a lack of interest in things you like to do.
